George Yule´s The Study of Language is the first book beside to Linguistic I´m reading. The first chapter provide us the four types of ´sources´ of the origin of language- The divine source, The natural sound source, The fabric adaptation source and The genetic source. What I liked nearly exclusively 4 is that each source provide us a different view of the emergence of language. The fact that got me shake up in the al just about was the experiment with two newborn babies which lived in isolation. They lived just with goats and the mute stepherd. After two years the children were bank note to have spontaneously uttered-something that was identified as the Phrygian word BEKOS that way of life ´bread´. After few years there was carried proscribed the similar experiment but children started speaking Hebrew. But altogether others cases of children who were living in isolation tend not to corroborate the results of this ´divine source´experiment. The Divine source ´theory´is comprise on the fact, that words come from God.
Personaly I can´t imagine a newborn baby, who would lived , for example, just with dogs to start barking after some time. I think that it´s impossible. Largest benefit for me was the crack up about ´The natural soud source´ because of the theories, that are in my opinion, most likely to be the source of the language. Since the oldest ages people worked together, they were building dwellings, so the sounds of a person involved in physical sham could be the source of our language. If you want to get a abounding essay, order it on our website: OrderEssay.net
